Infrastructure

E-FACILITIES

The College is equipped with computing facilities in accordance with AICTE norms. All computers are connected to the internet with a bandwidth of 10Mbps. A range of e-services is available to students: internet on all computers, digital library, availability of course descriptions and course material on the intranet, e-feedback facility, e-submission of assignments,
e-newsletter etc.

LIBRARY

The MRCE library, besides stocking prescribed text books and reference material, makes available a range of books on each subject as well as general material like biographies and literature. Nearly 4500 titles and more than 19000 volumes are available in the library. The library subscribes to IEEE, Springer, Science Direct and other national and international journals. As a result, 1078 electronic journals and about 100 print journals are available for reference. It also subscribes to several periodicals and newspapers. Adequate reading room facilities are available.

The library is fully computerized and follows the open access system. Photocopying facility housed adjacent to the library enables students to Photostat relevant material at a nominal price.

DIGITAL
LIBRARY FACILITY

The College has approximately 1775 CDs / DVDs of various subjects for students to facilitate self study.

TRANSPORT

The College has a fleet of luxury AC/Non AC buses. In addition to providing transport for local students, it runs inter-city shuttle transport from Faridabad, Gurgaon and Delhi to the campus. Regular transport services are available between hostels & the campus.

HOSTEL

MRCE provides separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostels have well furnished rooms with essential modern facilities like TV, PCs, telephone, as well as games like table tennis etc. The hostels have well managed & hygienic mess, where nutritional needs and taste of students are taken care of.

SPORTS
FACILITIES

The College offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor sports facilities to its students. These include a shooting range, squash court, cricket ground, volleyball and basketball courts, billiards and pool facility etc.

EXTRA AND

CO-CURRICULAR

MRCE strives hard to promote overall development of the students. Students Activity Committee plans and organizes various co- and extra curricular activities for the students, all the year round. The council works through its different clubs such as Technical Club, Techno Planet, Techno Kriti, Renewable Energy Club, E-Cell, Dramatics Club, Dance Club, Music Club, Literary Club and Sports Club. The activities of these clubs are managed by students, under the mentorship of a faculty member.

A close association is maintained with professional bodies like IEEE, AIMA, SAE, ISTE and NEN to promote professional competencies of the graduates. Various workshops and contests are organized in association with these organizations. Students are also encouraged to work with faculty members on different research projects and publish the work. The innovative projects developed by students are also financed and promoted for participation in national and international contests.

The members of Renewable Energy Club are actively associated with TERI activities in the fields of energy, environment and sustainable development. The E-cell of MRCE in association with National Entrepreneurial Network organizes various Entrepreneurial awareness campaigns and activities and grooms the future entrepreneurs.

Students organize ‘EPIPHANY’, the annual inter college cultural and technical festival wherein all the clubs showcase their activities.

Apart from plethora of activities organized by students, all efforts are made to provide exposure through participation in various events both at national and international level.

To realize its vision of producing globally competent professionals the institute also provides specialized soft skills training to the students at no extra cost. The rigorous training schedule is well integrated with the regular academic schedule.

Aimed at improving the practical skills of students, a two week compulsory summer training programme is also organized for students at the end of 2nd semester examination.

•  Embedded Development National Finals  to select a team from India for Imagine Cup (New York) 2011: II prize (worth Rs. 60,000) for the project ‘PregnaCare’

•  Imagine Cup (Poland) 2010: MRCE team represented India for the project ‘WIZI-TANK’

•  embeddedSPARK 2011: two projects qualify round I

•  embeddedSPARK 2010 (Boston, U SA): III prize (worth 1000$)

•  International Climate Champion 2010 (TERI & British Council): Varun Arora (IT)

•  Bavarian Motor Works (BMW), Germany:  Raghav Raman (ME) selected for summer training  (2010 ) with a stipend of 650 Euros per month

HEALTHCARE FACILITIES

MRCE has a well equipped dispensary for first aid and minor medical services. We also have two state-of-the-art, well equipped ambulances to cater to any exigencies thus ensuring highest medical safety. The College has a tie-up with Asian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Faridabad and Sarvodaya Hospital, Faridabad for emergency cases.

CANTEEN & CAFETERIA

The MRCE has well stocked canteen and cafeteria, Yo! China, Nescafe, Hunger Cure etc., which provide daily

necessities to students in hygienic environment and good ambience.

BANK ATM

A PNB ATM is located on the campus.

POWER BACKUP

MRCE is served by an independent HSEB feeder. In addition, standby power backup of 6.2MW is installed to ensure

uninterrupted power supply to the entire campus including hostels.

DRINKING WATER

A central RO system supplies safe water to the campus.

AIR CONDITIONING

All classrooms, laboratories etc. are centrally air conditioned.
