College Round of Aspirations 2020 Programming Contest was conducted on 03rd Sep’2011, at MRCE Computing Labs. More than 150 students from B.Tech (CSE, IT, ECE) and MCA participated in the event.

Programming Contest

Infosys-Aspirations2020 is a platform for students of colleges to prepare themselves to become Global Professionals. Programming Contest under Aspirations2020 will encourage the spirit of competitiveness and accelerate learning through extra-curricular activities, within the student community.

College Round of Aspirations2020 Programming Contest was conducted on 03/Sep/2011, from 9:00am to 2pm at MRCE Computing Labs. More than 150 students from B.Tech (CSE, IT, ECE) and MCA have participated in the event.

Inauguration of MRCE- IEEE ” Women in Engineering” affininity group was held on 15th September’2011, at MRCE.

After a successful and eventful first year, the MRCE-IEEE Student Branch commenced it’s second year with the inaugural for the Women in Engineering affinity group held on 15^th September, 2011. The mission of IEEE WIE is to facilitate the recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines globally. IEEE WIE envisions a vibrant community of IEEE women and men collectively using their diverse talents to innovate for the benefit of humanity.

Attendees:

Dr. Shiban Kaul, Centre for Applied Research in Electronics, IIT Delhi.

Dr. Kaul, the chief guest for the event, delivered a keynote address on Current and

Future trends in ICT education.

Dr. Prerna Gaur, Secretary, WIE IEEE Delhi Section

Dr. Gaur briefed the audience about the vision and mission of WIE.

Literary Activity Club organized a workshop on 17/9/2011. Ms. Sakshi Kumar, an eminent photographer was the resource person for the topic ‘The Essence of Photography’.

A competition was also organized in which the participants had to submit 5 photos on specific themes.

Winners of the competition were declared on the spot.
