Important Instructions For Admission Seekers
(A) SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION
Candidates seeking admission to various programmes in the College are allowed to submit application for admission on-line only. Candidates may submit the On-line application form anywhere, any time. Facilities have been provided by the College in the Campus to enable the admission seekers to submit application online. www.mrce.ac.in.
(B) MODE OF PAYMENT OF ADMISSION / APPLICATION FEE
The candidates may deposit Admission Application fee online through Payment Gateway provided by the Axis Bank through Credit/ Debit Cards. Alternatively, they may procure the Admission Brochure at specified branches of Axis Bank in India or from the counter at College campus or Administrative Headquarters at Faridabad by paying an amount of Rs. 1200 in cash. When a candidate purchases a copy of the Admission Brochure, it will contain a Scratch Card mentioning a numeric code number, covered by a scratchable coating. The candidate will be required to scratch the card softly and uncover the number mentioned on it. That number may be filled in the designated row in the online application format and payment shall deemed to be accepted.
(C) PREPARATION OF MERIT LIST
There shall be a Common Application for all programmes being offered in the academic year 2011-12. All programmes, based upon the eligibility criteria have been categorized into various groups. Eligibility criteria for admission in programmes for each group shall be same. Separate merit list for each group shall be prepared by the College. Once, merit list for each group has been prepared, a schedule for physical counseling shall be announced through notice on the College website and notice boards. Efforts shall be made to inform the candidates either through e-mail or SMS about the notices so displayed but the candidates are advised to visit College website (www.mrce.ac.in) on regular basis.
PREPARATION OF MERIT:
B.Tech (Normal Entry)- Admission on the basis of merit in AIEEE-2011(1st preference) and qualifying examination (2nd preference)
B.Tech (Lateral Entry)- Admission on the basis of Merit in DET (L) -2011 conducted by Haryana State Counseling Society (1st preference) and Qualifying Examination (2nd preference)
M.Tech.- Separate merit list for each Programme shall be prepared by the College in accordance with the preference criteria mentioned earlier.
MCA- Admission on the basis of Merit in OLET-MCA-2011 conducted by Haryana State Counseling Society (1st preference) and qualifying examination (2nd preference)
MBA- Admission shall be made on basis of valid MAT Score as first preference and merit in qualifying exam as 2nd preference, if seats remain vacant. Valid MAT score is the score given by AIMA in the exams conducted in September 2010, December 2010, February 2011 and May 2011.
(D) PHYSICAL COUNSELING
Physical counseling for various programmes shall be conducted by the College under the overall supervision of the Dean concerned. Director- Principal shall be associated with the process of admission for common policies. Physical counseling shall consist of the following:
• Merit list shall be drawn as per the criteria for preparation of merit list as given separately.
• The candidates shall be called for physical counseling on specified dates based upon their Rank in the merit list, which shall be announced in advance on the Notice Board/ Website of the College.
• On the day of counseling, candidates shall get their certificates/testimonials checked/verified from the Document Verification Committee(s) appointed for this purpose.
• If found eligible, such candidate shall appear in person (No relaxation in any case!) before the Seat Allotment Committee in order of merit, which will inform the candidate about the availability of seats.
• The candidate shall opt for the seat of his/her choice out of the seats available and proceed immediately to deposit fee, preferably through Demand Draft at the Fee Counter.
• A seat shall be deemed to be allotted only when the candidate has deposited the fees.
• If a candidate after allotment of seat by the Seat Allotment Committee fails to deposit the fee on the spot, he/she shall forfeit the right of admission on the seat allotted. However he/she may be considered for allotment of seat at a later date/time as per the availability at that point of time.

Subsequent counseling may be held in the case seats remain vacant for which information shall be made available through college website and notice boards.
HSCS ADMISSIONS
Admission for 75% seats of the sanctioned intake will be conducted by the Haryana State Counseling Society. Admissions shall be based on the merit rank obtained in the examinations for different programmes as follows:
1. B.Tech Courses : AIEEE-2011
2. B.Tech LEET : DET (L)-2011
3. MBA Course : MAT
4. MCA Course : OLET – MCA-2011

Candidates are strongly advised to refer to the sites http://techeduhry.nic.in, http://hscs.org, and http://hscs.net.in http://techeduhry.nic.in, for full information and keep themselves abreast of any changes in schedule etc.
Candidates may report to the College on the Physical Reporting dates mentioned in the table above. The procedure to be adopted by candidates is as follows:
1. Produce the seat allotment letter issued by HSCS and Counseling Fee Receipt showing proof of payment.
2. Proceed to document verification. If all documents are correct then a Provisional Admission Slip shall be issued. If documents are not correct, then a deficiency list will be supplied and the candidate may appear again to make up the deficiency during the period of physical counseling.
3. Candidates with Provisional Admission Slip shall now fill in the on-line admission form at MRCE using the scratch card number as in step (2) above.
4. The candidate and parents shall fill in various undertakings like anti-ragging undertaking etc.
5. Candidates proceed to hostel and transport desks if they need these facilities. They will get information about routes of buses and charges at the transport desk. Similarly, they shall obtain information about hostel charges at the hostel desk
6. Candidates shall move to the accounts counter, pay the prescribed fees and hostel, transport charges as applicable and obtain a receipt.
7. Lastly, the candidate shall move to the HSCS update desk where the HSCS site shall be updated to reflect that the admission is done. The admission process is now complete.
(E) DIRECTIONS FOR THE ADMISSION SEEKERS / APPLICANTS FOR ADMISSION
• All applicants for various UG/PG courses should procure an Admission Brochure from authorized sources which include:
a) Identified Branches of AXIS Bank
b) Counters at MRCE, and
c) Any other authorized outlets as mentioned on the Website of MRCE
• Alternatively they may download the Admission Brochure from the College website.
• All applicants would fill in the on-line application form after satisfying themselves with the eligibility criteria and the instructions mentioned thereof.
• After filling in the on-line applications, all registered applicants will be provided with a system generated unique application number(5 character alpha-numeric code) for the applicant’s future correspondence with the College (e.g. 2K1100001 onwards)
• Applicants shall have a choice to edit certain parts of the application, as directed by the format, address field, mobile number and the qualifying examination results if not declared at the time of filling in the application at the first time
• Applicants must take two print-outs of the final version of the On-line application form, affix recent passport colour photograph (if the photograph has not been uploaded at the time of filling the application form), put signatures on the photograph and the relevant columns, endorsed by his/her parent/guardian.
• All applicants must submit one final copy of the application form along with necessary original documents to the Document Verification Committee on the respective day of counseling.
• The candidates may also receive alerts for completing the application formalities before the date of first counseling, if on-line application is found to be incomplete. All applicants are instructed to visit the MRCE website on a regular basis for ascertaining the counseling and other details related to the admission process.
• Non-production of original documents due to any reasons during physical counseling, shall lead to the rejection of the candidature.
• In all circumstances, the candidate shall have to be present physically in the scheduled physical counseling. Absence of the candidate, due to any reason, would automatically disqualify him / her for admission.
• All Original Documents except Migration Certificate shall be returned to the Candidate immediately after verification.
• Mere inclusion of the name of a candidate would not ensure his/her admission. The Admission Committee would ensure that the candidates fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria. The Admission Committee would also ensure that the qualifying examination has been passed by a candidate from recognized/approved examining body as notified by affiliating University and other competent authority.
• The admission made by the College shall be provisional, till it is confirmed by the affiliating University.
• The admission procedure is subject to modification, without notice, as per directions of State Govt. of Haryana and / or any competent authority.
(F) ADDITIONAL DIRECTIONS FOR THE ADMISSION SEEKERS / APPLICANTS FOR ADMISSION IN PG COURSES
• The candidates seeking admission to a PG programme but not having their results of the qualifying exam available at the time of physical counseling, may be allowed to have provisional admission subject to fulfillment of other requirements but subject to the condition that they will have to produce clear pass result latest by the final cut off date fixed by Haryana State Counseling Society failing which the provisional admission shall stand cancelled and the fee deposited refunded as per rules of MRCE.
