General Instructions
ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS SPECIFIC FOR B.TECH COURSES
1. Candidates desirous of seeking admission in B.Tech. programmes of 4 year duration through normal entry may note that admission in these programmes shall be primarily made on the basis of merit in AIEEE-2011. In respect of any seats remaining vacant, on the basis of merit in qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 / Senior Secondary examination or equivalent.
2. Candidates desirous of seeking admission in B.Tech programmes on three year duration through Lateral Entry directly to 2nd year may note that admission in these programmes shall be made on the basis of merit in DET-2011. In respect of any seats remaining vacant, on the basis of merit in qualifying examination i.e. Diploma in Engineering.
1. Schedule of payment of fees
Late fee Rules (Not applicable in 1st semester)-
In subsequent year, candidates shall be required to deposit the fee in April and November for odd and even semester respectively i.e. prior to the start of University semester exams of the previous semester.
Odd semester
Fee Payable 16th April to 30th April
No late fee in May and June with special permission.
Late fee Rs 100 per day from 1st July to 15th July
Late fee Rs 500 per day from 16th July to 31st July
Name is struck-off if fee not paid up to 31st July.
Re-admission fee Rs 5000/- + Additional fine @ Rs 500 per day from 1st Aug onwards.
Even Semester
Fee Payable 16th Nov to 30th Nov
No late fee from 1st Dec to 31st Dec
Late fee Rs 100 per day from 1st Jan to 15thJan
Late fee Rs 500 per day from 16th Jan to 31st Jan
Name is struck-off if fee not paid up to 31st Jan.

2. The student would be liable for any wrong information filled in the application form.
3. If a candidate is admitted on the basis of information submitted by him /her, which is found to be incorrect or false on a later date, his / her admission shall be cancelled and all fees and other dues paid by him / her shall be forfeited. The College may also take further action as deemed fit against such candidate and / or his / her parents/ guardians as considered suitable.
4. Candidates who have appeared or are likely to appear in final qualifying examination are free to apply for admission but they must meet the eligibility criteria at the time of physical counseling, failing which their right to admission shall be forfeited.
5. The candidates who are allotted seat by Seat Allotment Committee will be required to deposit the requisite fee through demand draft drawn in favour of “Manav Rachna College of Engineering” payable at Faridabad on the spot soon after verification of testimonials and other certificates / documents in original from the Admission Committee. It shall be mandatory for candidates to make appearance before the Admission Committee at the time of verification of testimonials / certificates etc. Candidates are advised to bring all testimonials / certificates / relevant documents in original along with two sets of attested copies, attested by a Gazette Officer or head of the Institution last attended. After the verification of testimonials / certificates/ relevant documents and deposition of the requisite fee, the original documents / certificates / relevant documents shall be returned back to the candidates. However, two sets of attested copies shall be retained.
6. The candidate who fails to deposit the requisite fee on the spot shall forfeit his / her right of admission.
7. Mere inclusion of the name of a candidate in the merit list would not ensure his / her admission. Candidate would be required to prove his / her eligibility for admission by providing original and genuine documents in support of the claims made. The Admission Committee would ensure that the candidates fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria. The Admission Committee would also ensure that the qualifying examination has been passed by a candidate from recognized / approved examining body as notified by University Grants Commission and other competent authority.
8. The admission made by MRCE shall be provisional, till the same is confirmed by the Registration Branch of the affiliating University i.e. M.D. University, Rohtak.
9. If the College Authorities are not satisfied with the character, past behaviour and antecedents of a candidate, they may refuse to admit him/ her in the College. In order to ensure academic standards, discipline and peaceful atmosphere in the College. The Director-Principal of the College may cancel the admission of any student who is found to be involved in activities which are prejudicial to maintaining harmony on the Campus.
10. Instructions for curbing ragging:- Ragging in an educational Institution is banned and any one indulging in ragging would be punished appropriately, which may include expulsion from the Institution, suspension from the Institute or classes for a limited period or fine with a public apology. The punishment may also take the shape of (i) Reporting to the police and lodging an FIR (ii) withholding scholarships or other benefits, (ii) debarring from representation in events, (iii) withholding results, (iv) suspension or expulsion from hostel or mess, and the like. If the individuals committing or abetting ragging are not/ cannot be identified, collective punishment can be awarded to act as a deterrent.
The following will be termed as the act of ragging:
Any disorderly conduct whether by words spoken or written or by any act, which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness any
other student(s), indulging in rowdy or in-disciplined activities which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in fresher or junior student(s) or asking the student(s) to do any act or perform something, which such student(s) will not do in the ordinary course and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of a fresher or a junior student.
11. The candidates who are admitted in the Institute would be required to follow all rules and regulations in letter and spirit, conduct themselves in an orderly manner and maintain the best decorum, failing which suitable penal action would be taken against them.
12. The admission procedure is subject to modification, without notice, as per directions of State Govt., UGC or other competent authority.
13. The final cut off date for admission to all the courses shall be as fixed by Haryana State Counseling Society for the Academic year 2011-12
14. Last date of providing eligibility regarding “attainment of requisite qualifications” for PG programmes shall be as fixed by Haryana State Counseling Society. However, for UG programmes, eligibility shall be determined on the day of counseling itself.
15. All applicants are instructed to follow the MRCE website on a regular basis for date of counseling and other details related to the admission process.
16. The contents of the Admission Brochure are subject to change without prior notice. All disputes pertaining to admission under the domain of Admission Brochure are subject to the jurisdiction of Courts at Faridabad only.
