The objective of the department is to prepare students to succeed in the management profession through rigorous education. It provides students with a strong foundation in management with analytical and organizational skills to solve complex business issues. It trains students in the functional areas of business/management so as to comprehend, analyze, use statistical methodology and stimulate strategic thinking. The Department inculcates in students professional and ethical attitudes, effective communication skills, leadership qualities, team work skills, critical and innovative thinking and an ability to relate business/management issues to society and corporate governance.
