The Department aims at preparing students to excel in industry and be successful in higher studies.  Emphasis is on developing the ability to synthesize data and technical concepts for application to product design. Students are provided with a solid foundation to formulate, solve and analyze engineering problems. The Department trains students to be team players, to be able to work on multidisciplinary projects and also have the ability to relate engineering issues to the broader social context.
